Compassionate Ministries

We believe God has called everyone to love their neighbor. We want to do more than live in our community.

We want to impact it for God. One way we do this is through our Compassionate Ministries.

Compassion - a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by

misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.

Stephen Ministries

Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2, NRSV).

Stephen Ministry is a one-to-one lay caring ministry that takes place in congregations. Through Stephen Ministry we equip and empower lay caregivers—called Stephen Ministers—to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.

The goal at Sparks Naz is to have trained Stephen Ministers available to assist the pastors in the care of people in crisis. This could be short term - hospitalization, or long term - assisted living, debilitating illness, etc.

I look forward to partnering with you to help others.
