Which one of Solomon’s wives was this lady in Song of Songs?
In his earlier years Solomon was content with asking for wisdom and guidance from God.
Later he tried to use man’s wisdom and systems to gain favor, treaties and alliances with these other nations.
Even the wisest man on earth walked away from God’s best.
He took what was God’s plan and replaced it with man’s opinion and methods and each step was towards a cliff.
It could be summarized like this: Take what you want, don’t miss any pleasure and you’ll be happy.

What Destroys Intimacy?

Stupidity

Not only does this show a lack of trust in God’s promise – it’s plain stupid!
Any fool would know that what Sarai needed was reassurance, not agreement.

Selfishness

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. --Philippians 2:3
Marriage is not 50/50, but 100/100
Anything less is selfish and unbiblical.
3.
Sin
-
There is always a price to pay for sin.
Stupidity, selfishness and sin break down the intimacy without shame that God intended for your marriage.
Like little foxes, even the smallest steps toward these 3 S’s will destroy your vineyard.
