Why did God sent Jesus, born in a barn?

The book of Luke describes the why of Jesus 1st Advent.

þ    Luke 1:79 to shine on those living in darkness - in the shadow of death.

þ    2:10 good news for all the people

þ    2:30-32 light for Gentiles, glory for Israel all people

þ    John 1:14 God Among us!

þ    3:16 God Loved the world, whoever

þ    Micah 5:2-5 He will reach to the ends of the earth

The Bible is clear that this Jesus didn't just come for a few, for the "elect" but for all.

This is never clearer than when you look into the linage of Jesus birth.

Matthew 1:1-16

Let's take a look at Boaz. Matthew 1:5

Son of a former prostitute, who passed to her son a core principle of God's Kingdom:

There is room enough for everyone!

The Bible calls Boaz a kinsmen redeemerRuth 3:10

Why did Jesus come?  Christmas breaks down the walls!

Wall between …

Jew and Gentile

Male and Female

Saint and sinner

At the beginning of it all we are given a hint of the all embracing love of God.

What is our part in this invitation?

Luke  2:17 - spread word concerning him

Matthew 28: Go teach you won't be alone!

So What???

The story of Christmas is inclusive, is for everyone is for you and me!

Jesus says come …  there is room for you.

Jesus also says Go

In a world where people are asking is there a place for me at the table of God we must say yes -

This is the heart of the One

Who stands before the open door

And bids us come

He has welcomed you - now He sends you to welcome others!

To receive His gift is to receive His heart about the gift.
